행사명  Canada-BC Green Building Exchange 2010
내용  The 2010 Green Building Exchange builds on the success of the 2008 Green Building Exchange and provides a new occasion to bring British Columbia’s and Canada’s top experts in green buildings to China and South Korea to develop further partnerships in sustainable design. The 2008 exchange was invaluable in connecting to key organizations in Beijing and Seoul and has led to ongoing projects for a number of the participants. This year’s event will leverage those partnerships to create further opportunities.
The Exchange is designed to promote expertise from British Columbia and Canada in developing, designing, building and maintaining next generation green buildings. This expertise includes architectural, engineering and design services; research and education partnerships; and the development of advanced building materials and systems (including wood products, alternative energy and light sources and wireless sensors for metering and monitoring).

This year the Exchange has confirmed dates in:
1. Pusan, South Korea on September 1st at the ENTECH Convention which is sponsored by KOTRA (Korea Trade–Investment Promotion Agency) and is that country’s largest environmental trade show (for more information please see www.azcommerce.com/doclib/itrade/2010/asia/entech%20cl.pdf)
2. Shanghai, China on September 6th as part of British Columbia days at the Canadian Pavilion at Expo 2010.

Other nearby locations are also being considered. Each location will feature a half day of presentations, case studies and a panel discussion on contemporary and next-generation building design.

The speakers will include some of Canada’s top architects, engineers, researchers, educators as well as a selection of cutting edge building products that are redefining sustainability. The exchange will be conducted in conjunction with the Resource Positive Envelope Design (RPED) project which is part of Canada’s contribution to the Asia Pacific Partnership (APP) on Clean Development and Climate. Other partners include Environment Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Okanagan College and the Ministry of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development of British Columbia.

A critical part of these sessions will be a showcase of innovative green building products and services from Canada and British Columbia. Organizations interested in including information and materials in this showcase should contact the RPED project using the information provide below. As noted above these products and services would include (but are not limited to) topics such as cross laminated timber; sunlight collection and distribution; wireless sensors; mechatronics; and hydrogen fuel cells.
